Job Description

To provide comprehensive, mission-driven planning and oversight for the entire 2026 Summer Camps schedule, ensuring all programs are aligned with the central vision: “Every young person, Everywhere, Growing Every Day in a Relationship with Jesus Christ.”

Time Commitment

  • Duration: Planning period leading up to and including Summer 2026.
  • Expectation: Consistent, scheduled meetings and task completion throughout the pre-camp season.

Duties & Responsibilities

This team translates the camp vision into a detailed, executable plan across all summer ministries:

I. Program Design and Logistics

  • Content Finalization: Ensure all camp schedules (Overnight Camps, Day Camps, Elevate, Family Camp) consistently execute the “Come and See! – The Invitation Journey” theme.
  • Schedule & Details: Finalize all session-specific logistics, including drop-off/pickup times, registration fees, deadlines, and the content for Staff Orientation and Training.
  • Thematic Integration: Develop consistent material for Chapel, Meals, and Activities across all overnight sessions.

II. Outreach and Staffing

  • Growth Strategy: Coordinate with the Summer Camp Manager to secure Community Day Camp partners for off-site expansion and establish promotional plans for these new initiatives.
  • Staffing Support: Contribute to the overall planning for summer staff recruitment across all levels (Counsellors, Elevate, Day Camp, and specific support roles).
  • Communications: Refine the promotional plan and ensure registration information is clearly communicated.

III. Administrative Oversight

  • Financial Review: Monitor and assist with the finalization of camp fees and registration processes.
  • Documentation: Ensure all necessary agreements and forms (e.g., Speaker Agreements) are in place.
Qualifications

  • Mission-Driven: Committed to the Covenant Bay mission and the goal of spiritual growth in young people.
  • Strategic & Detail-Oriented: Possesses strong organizational skills to manage complex, multi-program logistics.
  • Collaborative: Able to work effectively across various camp departments and with external community partners.
  • Experienced: Has practical knowledge of camp operations, youth ministry programming, or large-scale event management.
Working Conditions
  • We will be meeting in person and online monthly.
  • 5-15 hours/month.
