Job Description

To provide strategic leadership and design expertise for the multi-year Chapel Expansion Project (2026–2028), ensuring the facility meets the goal of accommodating 150 people for maximum ministry impact.

Time Commitment

  • 2026-2028
  • 3-10 hours/month plus any additional hands-on work.

Responsible to: Executive Director

Duties & Responsibilities

The Committee Member is essential for mitigating project pitfalls through direct leadership:

  • Lead the architectural design of the new balcony, stage, and entrance, ensuring sight lines and utility spaces are correctly factored and new AVL/HVAC systems are integrated.
  • Drive Resource Mobilization, supporting fundraising efforts and actively recruiting construction volunteers needed to complete the physical work.
  • Monitor the phased project schedule (2026-2028), assist with permitting, and provide quality assurance during construction to ensure the final result meets the “Best-Case Scenario.”
  • Maintain open communication with the Executive Director, Facilities Director, and technical contacts.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess strengths that directly address the project’s critical needs:

  • Demonstrated Design Ability (e.g., architecture, structural design, or engineering experience).
  • Proven Project Management Aptitude and experience in resource mobilization (volunteer recruitment and fundraising).
  • Strong Alignment and passion for the camp’s ministry and mission.
Working Conditions

Meetings will be held monthly online or in person as required.
