When I say the word “worship,” what comes to mind? I think most would think of a church service, with music and singing. I bet the words “doing good and sharing” did not come to mind. Listen to Hebrews 13:16, And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.
Doing good and sharing is a good thing but not what I think of when it comes to sacrifices and worship! Yet when our worship costs us something, it becomes more significant for us. A sacrifice for Jewish worshipers was a big deal. It cost them dearly. As you do good and share, consider it your response – your worship to God. Second, consider the cost and how that may impact the significance of your sacrifice.
Last week we received approval for the rapid testing during our summer camp program. While this does not necessarily allow for a normal camping season, it is a huge step in the right direction. Continue to pray that God will provide a way for summer camps to happen and that many campers will come to know Jesus as a result.
Covenant Bay was approved for a large grant that will help us hire summer camp staff. We are so grateful for this. Much of our staff is hired though there are a few positions left to fill. Pray for these seasonal staff that God will work in them and through them this summer.
Keith has some great projects going on that are fairly large in size and scope. Pray for him, the help that comes alongside, and that the projects go smoothly. One of the projects is a new archery range, and another is a game called 9 square. Check out our Facebook page, where we will post a few pics of the projects over the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your prayers. There is no ministry apart from Christ. Pray with urgency and expectation. I will chat with you next week.
