Q: How old do I have to be to work at Covenant Bay?
For the positions listed below, you must be graduated High School (minimum 17 years of age).
Exception: The Cabin Assistant position only requires applicants to be 16 years of age.
Q: Are these paid positions?
Yes! All positions are paid – starting at $15/hour.
Q: When is Staff Orientation & Training?
Staff Orientation is June 2-4, 2023. Staff Training is June 25-29, 2023.
These are MANDATORY dates that must be attended to be on staff.
PROGRAM COORDINATOR
LENGTH: 16 Weeks
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1
DESCRIPTION:
Organizing and implementing the summer program. Working closely with the Program Director in aspects of training, communicating, and creating the overall program.
Scheduling and leading the staff team through the 8 sessions of summer camp.
Planning, delegating, communication, fostering joy, creating learning opportunities are all capacities of a successful candidate.
CHAPEL COORDINATOR
LENGTH: 16 Weeks
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1
DESCRIPTION:
Writing chapel outlines, skits, and learning opportunities. Ensuring the gospel is spoken in an age appropriate way to every kid that is registered for camp.
Communicating chapel ideas and plans to the staff team. Helping line up guest speakers, guest worship bands, or other ideas.
Creative, well organized, biblically literate, and strategic are all good qualities for a successful candidate.
ACTIVITY COORDINATOR
LENGTH: 16 Weeks
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1
DESCRIPTION:
Organizing and setting up each day of activities. Working with the activity leads each week to ensure the success of each block.
Getting supplies, maintaining check lists, and safety measures.
Teaching the Activity Leads how to pass on the knowledge of each block, make it fun, and engaging.
Creative, personable, organized, outdoorsy, intentional, resourceful are all components of a successful candidate.
ELEVATE COORDINATOR
LENGTH: 16 Weeks

DESCRIPTION:
Working directly with our ELEVATE program. Applicants for that program are 14 – 17 years of age looking specifically to be discipled and poured into as christian and camp leaders.
Fostering relationships is key to this role. Writing bible studies, topics, and being able to answer questions in an honest and non-judgemental way.
Relational, energetic, caring, biblically educated, compassionate, are important aspects for an applicant.
DAY CAMP COORDINATOR
LENGTH: 16 Weeks

DESCRIPTION:
Working with our Day campers – Ages 4 to 10. Planning daily activities and games to help introduce these campers to the culture of camp!
A successful candidate will have the ability to be flexible on any given day due to the changing nature of the group each day. 1 – 12 kids, ages 4 – 10. Each day looks a little different.
Creativity, flexibility, organized, laid-back, intentional all help someone do a great job here!
MENTORSHIP COORDINATOR
LENGTH: 16 Weeks

DESCRIPTION:
The Mentorship Coordinator works directly with the Program Director to ensure the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health of the staff is being addressed and upheld.
Listening is a key skill for this role.
Listening, caring, coordinating, relational, solutions focused, mental health aware, are all key aspects to an individual stepping into this position.

DAY CAMP ASSISTANT

ELEVATE LEAD

DESCRIPTION:
Assists in the running of the day to day schedule of the Elevate Program. Learning the relational components of ministry. Helping organize question periods and teaching moments.
ACTIVITY LEAD

DESCRIPTION:
Assists the Activity Coordinator to ensure set up, tear down, and activity logs are filled out each day.
Takes advantage of training opportunities to ensure the staff are trained and supported while leading the various on-site activities.
NURSE/HEALTH CARE PROVIDER
LENGTH: 10 Weeks

DESCRIPTION:
Provide basic medical care for our staff and campers. This includes but is not limited to, daily medication handouts, logs, basic first aid, reporting, incident reporting, and safety training.
ASSISTANT COOK
LENGTH: 10 Weeks

DESCRIPTION:
Directly reports to our Head Cook. Helps organize, prep, and serve each meal. Ensures ordering is done for the following week and communicates with Program Director about any dietary restrictions needed.
CABIN LEADER
LENGTH: 8 Weeks
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 6
DESCRIPTION:
A spiritual and physical mentor for a cabin each week. Leading about 8 children per week through conversations about faith, life, and camp.
Help lead daily activities, chapel sessions and campfires.
Help communicate the culture of camp to the campers. Building relationships with each camper to make their experience as amazing and meaningful as possible.
MAINTENANCE/WORK CREW
LENGTH: 8 Weeks (Part Time)
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1
DESCRIPTION:
Assisting our Facilities Director with daily, weekly, and summer projects. From meowing the grass to painting fences to some larger builds.
Handy and hardworking are necessary for this role. Knowledge of power tools and safety are a must.
Part time flexible.
LIFEGUARD
LENGTH: 8 Weeks

DESCRIPTION:
Nationally certified lifeguard – Waterfront certificate.
CABIN ASSISTANT
LENGTH: 6 Weeks
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 4
DESCRIPTION:
An individual wanting to grow into cabin leading and other camp responsibilities.
Growing in their faith and character as a young leader.
Our cabin assistants help lead as peer leaders. They are dedicated to helping the Cabin Leaders have a successful week while making sure they build meaningful relationships with the campers.
Both dedicated to growth and leadership, successful candidates see themselves growing into larger areas of camp leadership, coordinating or ministry and leadership at a broader scale.
