NEW DINING HALL PROJECT

Invest in the future of young people!

THE PROBLEM

The reality is, kids need a place to discover Jesus. Without discovering Jesus and without the opportunity to grow in a relationship with Jesus, a young person’s hope is very bleak.

The old dining hall and kitchen are too small and not winterized. It limits the number of campers we can impact each year.

Our problem is about capacity. Our old kitchen and dining hall are no longer capable of serving young people as we need. While this impacts food, the greater concern is the number of kids not attending camp due to our limitations with our kitchen and dining hall.

THE SOLUTION

The old dining hall and kitchen are too small and not winterized. It limits the number of campers we can impact each year.

This is why we want to begin constructing a new dining hall in the fall of 2027. It will have ample space for all and will be functional for 12 months of the year. This will allow more campers to discover Jesus and grow in a relationship with him!

Here are a few project highlights...

Old Dining Hall New Dining Hall

We will pay for the building with cash, no borrowing.

The Stakes are High

With less space in the old dining hall that operates for just five months of the year, fewer campers will attend summer camp or other events at Covenant Bay. As a result, fewer opportunities for fewer campers to discover who Jesus is and grow in a relationship with him. Without these opportunities, there will be fewer young people who will experience life transformation.

Imagine a table full of young people enjoying their plates of food and laughing together as they eat and talk. They have bonded with their cabin group as they have each grown closer to Christ. They are celebrating their relationships with each other and Christ.

Now imagine this happening for 200 kids instead of 50. We are poised and ready to grow our capacity to impact more young people through the good news of Jesus Christ!
