You and I live and behave aligned with our identity – who we believe we are. When our behaviours are out of line with that identity, we experience inner conflict. We might beat ourselves up. Our internal voice may speak poorly of our actions or character. Sometimes people blame others for making it difficult to live the way they wish they would.
 
The trouble is, if our identity is messed up, then we will be concerned about the wrong things; things of this world rather than the things of God!
