A great field trip still has to fit your schedule and your budget. That’s why we keep it simple: flexible packages, activities suited to your students’ ages, and clear pricing up front, so you can spend less time on logistics and more time with your class.
Because we're a camp and retreat facility, everything you need is right here. Choose the package that works best for your class: activities and a catered lunch starting at $44/person, or activities only (bring your own lunch) starting at $30/person.
Just about an hour from Edmonton, Red Deer, and Rocky Mountain House, Covenant Bay's 17 acres of forest, open field, and shoreline give your students space they simply can't find in a classroom or on a playground. Camp becomes a hands-on lesson in teamwork, courage, and curiosity.

Yes! While this page focuses on day trips, we also host overnight retreats for schools and groups looking for something longer. Past retreats have included:
Groups typically arrive at 10 AM and depart at 2 PM the following day. We’ll help you plan your schedule between meals, since every group’s programming and activity choices look a little different.
Each activity runs for one hour and can hold a maximum of 12 students at a time. If your group is larger, we’ll split students into smaller groups and rotate them through different activities throughout the day.
Yes! You’re welcome to bring a bagged lunch for your group. We have both indoor and outdoor eating spaces available, so you can choose what works best for your class and the weather that day.
Absolutely! If there’s a craft or activity you haven’t had time to fit into your school day, feel free to bring it along and use our space to make it happen.
Covenant Bay sits on 17 acres along the shoreline of Pigeon Lake, with a mix of forest, open field, and waterfront for activities. Please note that we do not have a lifeguard on duty, so any time near the water is supervised by your own group’s staff.
