Job Description

Provide basic medical care for our staff and campers. This includes but is not limited to, daily medication handouts, logs, basic first aid, reporting, incident reporting, and safety training. The Camp Nurse will be of legal adult age, live in residence and be fully responsible to the camp administration for the health care of all campers.

Wage/Salary: $5,120.00

Duration: 8 Weeks | June 28, 2026

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Record and organize medications.
  • Maintain initial formal records of all first aid treatments.
  • A bound ledger with numbered pages will be used for keeping records. Entries will be made in ink, and no lines will be skipped.
  • Ensure all campers receive medications.
  • Perform first-aid as required.
  • Prepare and distribute health records to emergency or health workers as necessary
Qualifications
  • The Camp Nurse must be one of the following: 
    • A licensed Medical Physician
    • A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse currently in good professional standing with the Alberta Association of Registered Nurses
    • Basic Life Support, First Aid and CPR/ AED
  • Minimum 18 years of age
Working Conditions
  • Live on-site during the Summer Camp event.
  • Room and Board will be provided.
Training

The Camp Nurse will complete volunteer training.
